Day 1 — The Training

A full day of hands-on training and business strategy at our Great Falls studio. Three Golden Bond instructors. Cohort of two students, maximum, so the attention is real.

Mornings are technical: pulse welding, chain sizing, weld failure recovery, customer fitting flow, machine calibration. Afternoons are business: pricing strategy, MSRP guidance, metal education, quality standards, pop-up performance, event execution.

You leave with the 75-page Golden Bond Permanent Jewelry Training and Business Manual — printed and digital — including the jump ring sizing sheet, the machine settings sheet, the business sheet, and the pop-up performance guide. Catered lunch from Tatté Bakery is included.

The Year After

The training day is the beginning of the relationship, not the end. As a Spark Society student, you have access to:

• Three 30-minute follow-up sessions in the months after training. We troubleshoot your first events, refine your pricing, work through your first wholesale conversations, and make sure your launch holds.

• Wholesale chain reorders from our full Origins catalog at student pricing — so the inventory you build your business on always comes from the same source.

• Custom bag production access for your launch, your events, and your retail counter — produced through our existing manufacturing relationships.

We do this in cohorts of two, so we like to talk before we book a training date. Tell us about what you're building, and we'll set up a short call to make sure the program is right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions - Permanent Jewelry Business Training

Why makes Spark Society more different than other permanent jewelry training?

Most permanent jewelry training are thin, flimsy, online certifications dressed up in pretty instagram posts. They teach you to weld and they end. We teach you how to truly build a business. 

Spark Society includes the welder, the tools, over $9,000 in chain and charm inventory at resale value, the business curriculum, three follow-up sessions. Most importantly - the business brains and access to us. You develop a ongoing wholesale relationship with Golden Bond founder & operator, as well as deep knowledge in metals passed down from the bench jeweler education team and educators.

The price reflects everything in the kit and the relationship that follows. If you only need the technical instruction without access to at length aid, the Technical Day is the right choice.

How quickly can I recoup my investment?

• Your kit includes over $9,000 in chain and charm inventory at our internal MSRP. Many students recoup the kit cost within their first three to six events, depending on volume. We'll work through your specific pricing and event strategy in your follow-up sessions.

Do I need an existing business to apply?

• Not strictly. But Spark Society is designed for operators — people who have built something before, even informally, and who understand what running a business actually looks like. If you're starting completely from scratch, we'll have an honest conversation in the application process about whether the timing is right.

Where does the training happen?

• At our Great Falls studio: 731 Walker Road, Suite F, Great Falls, VA 22066. Free on-site parking. We typically run training from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with lunch catered.

Can I bring a partner or co-founder?

• Cohorts are capped at two students or 3-4 within the a business joining us. If you and a co-founder are operating one business together, mention it in your application — we'll figure out the right structure with you.
  

Will you travel to train on team?

• Yes, if you are looking for us to come on site to train your team, that is an option.

What if I'm not accepted?

• Not every applicant will be the right fit, and that's intentional — for both sides. If The Golden Spark Society isn't the right path right now, the Technical Day is always available, and we may suggest revisiting the application later if your situation changes.

Where is the permanent jewelry training held?

• All on site private training sessions are held at our Northern Virginia studio at 731 Walker Road, Suite F, Great Falls, VA 22066 -- approximately 20 minutes from Washington, DC. We have a private parking lot, restrooms, coffee & filtered water bar, snacks and wholesale section for browsing.

Can I purchase the manual and starter guide before my training session? Currently no, these materials are exclusive to our students.
