The Golden Spark Society is our community of independent permanent jewelry artists who have completed Golden Bond's training, earned our Certified Artist credential, and operate their own businesses with access to our wholesale supply line in an exclusive territory.
It's not a franchise. It's not a course. It's a relationship — a working community of independent operators carrying Golden Bond-quality chains, represented by a credential customers already know.

How the Society Works
Joining the Society means entering into two separate, independent agreements with Golden Bond:
1. You become a Golden Bond Certified Artist.
After completing Golden Bond's Technical Training, qualifying artists may apply for the Golden Bond Certified Artist credential. Certified Artists earn the right to market with the "Golden Bond Certified Artist" designation, be listed in our public artist directory, and represent that they've been trained to our standards.
- No fee for the credential itself. You earn it through the training.
- No operating system imposed. You run your own business your way.
- No revenue share. What you make is yours.
- You can keep the credential without a supply account, and you can have a supply account without the credential.
2. You open a Wholesale Supply Account.
Separately, Certified Artists (and non-Certified Artists) may open a Golden Bond Wholesale Supply Account to buy chains, charms, and related products at wholesale pricing with exclusive territory protection.
- Annual account fee: $1,500/year (Founding Rate through 12/31/2026) — locked for 3 years. $3,000/year thereafter.
- Exclusive territory: A 7-mile radius within which Golden Bond will not appoint another wholesale account.
- Quarterly minimum purchase: $1,500/quarter of Products at wholesale pricing.
- Priority access to new chain releases and referred corporate bookings.
Most members of the Society have both — the credential and the account. But each is signed independently, priced independently, and terminable independently. You can leave one without losing the other.
Who This Is For
The Golden Spark Society is selective by design. We protect the Golden Bond brand carefully in the markets where our Certified Artists operate.

- Hobbyists or occasional side-hustlers
- Operators looking for a cheap certificate with no commitment
- Anyone unwilling to maintain Golden Bond's quality or operate within the agreements
- Anyone planning to compete directly with Golden Bond's brand or undercut our pricing
Applications are reviewed individually. Acceptance is at Golden Bond's discretion.
What Our Community Looks Like
Founding Distributor Network (being built now). The first 20 applicants accepted before December 31, 2026 become our Founding Distributor cohort — the group whose input shapes the Society for years to come. Founding Rate of $1,500/year on the Wholesale Supply Account is locked for three years.
Nationwide, with exceptions. The Society is open to applicants across the United States. The only territories not available for wholesale exclusivity are our immediate home markets: a 25-mile reserved zone around Tysons Corner Center (our second studio, opening July 2026) and a 10-mile reserved zone around our Great Falls flagship studio.

The Two Agreements — Why They're Separate
We want to be transparent about how this works:
- The Certified Artist Agreement is a trademark recognition agreement. It grants the credential and use of our marks. It does not require payment, does not prescribe how you operate your business, and does not include territory.
- The Wholesale Supply Account Agreement is a commercial wholesale distribution agreement. It grants exclusive territory and wholesale pricing. It does not grant use of the Golden Bond name or marks.
We structure these as separate agreements because they serve distinct purposes, and because keeping them separate keeps the relationship clean, legally clear, and flexible for you as a member. You are never forced into one because of the other.
If you are a Certified Artist and decide to close your Wholesale Supply Account, you remain a Certified Artist. If you are a Wholesale Supply Account holder and never pursue the Certified Artist credential, you still have your supply relationship.

Application Process
Step 1 — Apply
Submit the application form below. Include your proposed operating location, business background, timeline, and interest in the Credential, the Supply Account, or both.
Step 2 — Training
Upon initial review, qualifying applicants are invited to book the $1,000 Technical Training at our Great Falls, VA studio.
Step 3 — Interview
After training completion, you'll complete a 30–45 minute video interview with Golden Bond leadership.
Step 4 — Agreements
Upon acceptance, you'll receive the relevant agreements:
- The Golden Bond Certified Artist Agreement (if you're pursuing the credential)
- The Wholesale Supply Account Agreement (if you're pursuing the supply relationship) Most applicants pursue both. You sign the ones that apply to what you're joining.
Step 5 — Launch
Onboarding consultation, wholesale account activation, directory listing, and your first chain order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a franchise? No. We've structured the Society intentionally to not be a franchise. You operate your own independent business. Golden Bond does not prescribe your marketing plan, your hours, your pricing, or your operating system. The Certified Artist credential does not require payment beyond the separate education fee, and the Wholesale Supply Account is a commercial distribution agreement, not a franchise agreement. Two separate, independent agreements — that's by design.
Do I have to get both the Credential and the Supply Account? No. Each is independently available. Most applicants want both because together they make the business work well — the credential builds client trust, the supply account provides the chain inventory and territory. But you can apply for just one. Some applicants already have chain suppliers and only want the credential; others plan to sell under their own brand but want access to our wholesale chains.
What does Golden Bond get out of this? Chain volume. Our primary business model for the Society is our chain supply line. We make money from Certified Artists and Supply Account holders ordering our chains — which lets us continue to invest in our supply chain, introduce new designs, and keep prices competitive across the network. The license fee covers account servicing and territory management. We don't take a percentage of your client revenue.
Do I pay Golden Bond a percentage of my sales? No. On your direct client revenue, you keep 100%. The only revenue share is a 15% referral fee on corporate bookings that Golden Bond refers to you (because we generated the lead).
What if I can't hit the $1,500 quarterly minimum? A single missed quarter is a conversation, not a consequence. Two consecutive missed quarters triggers options (pay the shortfall, or lose exclusivity). Three consecutive misses may result in termination of the supply account. Your Certified Artist credential is unaffected by the supply account status.
What if I want to leave? Each agreement is independently terminable. You can end your Wholesale Supply Account while keeping your credential. You can surrender your credential while keeping your supply account. Or you can end both. No clawback of fees already paid. No post-term non-compete — you're free to continue operating your permanent jewelry business without restriction from us.
Can Golden Bond terminate my membership? Each agreement has its own termination-for-cause provisions, which we're transparent about in the agreements themselves. The most common reasons for termination are failure to pay account fees, failure to hit chain minimums repeatedly, or material breach of brand standards. Termination is always last resort — we invest in every member and want you to succeed.
What territory is available near me? Territory availability changes as we add members. Submit an application with your proposed location and we'll confirm current availability before proceeding.
What if I'm in the Reserved Territory? If your proposed location is within 25 miles of Tysons Corner Center or 10 miles of our Great Falls studio, we don't offer Wholesale Supply Accounts there because we operate directly in those markets. You can still pursue the Certified Artist credential if you want the training and brand recognition, and you can buy chains at retail from us. Some applicants in the reserved zones decide it still works for them; others wait for future program expansion.
Do I need an existing business? No. Many applicants are building from scratch. Others are adding permanent jewelry to an established business. Both paths work. The interview helps us understand your timeline and goals.
What about insurance, LLC formation, and other business setup? Those are your responsibility as an independent business owner. We provide guidance during onboarding and share resources from our own experience, but we don't set up your business for you. Supply Account holders are required to maintain $1M+ commercial liability insurance.
